Hail of scholarships for Chemical Engineering students
No fewer than seven TU/e Master's students in Chemical Engineering received a scholarship worth 10,000 euros on Wednesday, 15 November. A total of 18 VNCI Top Sector Chemistry scholarships were available, of which over a third were awarded to Eindhoven students.
The Top Sector Chemistry Scholarships are financed by chemical companies and awarded by the Association of the Dutch Chemical Industry (VNCI). The scholarships were created to allow more students to opt for a study in chemistry or chemical engineering and to increase the flow of qualified chemists to industry.
The TU/e winners
Mayank Mehta and Joey Aarts receive their scholarship from SABIC. Dow sponsors Leon Rosseau and Martijn de Munck. The scholarships of Maxime van der Heijden and Cas Robeerst are sponsored by DSM. And Trinseo is the company that finances the scholarship of Claire Claassen.
Laurent Nelissen, managing director of the Chemical Engineering and Chemistry department, was present at the festive Granting & Graduation event at the Spoorwegmuseum in Utrecht to underline his pride for the seven winners from Eindhoven.
