Eindhoven the best Dutch university of technology by far

TU Eindhoven again heads the technology universities in the Elsevier ranking for best studies, with a pleasing 41.7% of its students satisfied. In this list of technology universities Twente (4.8%) and Delft (-6.3%) are awarded much lower scores by their students.

In the overall list of the 13 Dutch universities, TU/e also takes 2nd spot, behind Wageningen University whose students are undisputedly the most satisfied about the study of their choice (63.2%) while Tilburg picks up third place with a satisfaction score of 19%. Among the six ‘broad’ universities, Utrecht leads the way.

Rector Magnificus Frank Baaijens of TU/e is pleased with the evaluation made by his students. "We are exceptionally proud to get such appreciation from our students for the high quality of our education. This translates into the growing popularity of all our study programs, which is excellent news for the future of the Netherlands. It is also wonderful recognition for the passion with which all the staff at our university work to maintain the educational quality, certainly in view of the doubling of our student intake in recent years."

In total, Elsevier Weekblad compares 2,126 study programs, basing its list on its interpretation of Studiekeuze123.nl and the National Student Enquirer in which some 280,000 students took part this year. The weekly does this for pupils that will be choosing a Bachelor study in higher education next year as well as for Bachelor students looking to find a suitable Master study. Best Studies 2017 is a product of Elsevier and research institute ResearchNed in Nijmegen. The Best Studies survey has offered pupils and students help and advice in finding a study since 1994.
