Queen Máxima opens Jheronimus Academy of Data Science
Her Majesty Queen Máxima will perform the official opening of the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science (JADS) in ‘s Hertogenbosch on Thursday December 1st. Queen Máxima will attend a plenary program in the Chapel of former convent of Marienburg where the academy is housed, take a tour of the building and subsequently perform the official opening in front of it.
The new academic programs are part of a cooperation between four Brabant parties: the province of North Brabant, the city of ’s-Hertogenbosch, Tilburg University and Eindhoven University of Technology. The name this cooperation has been given is JADS, Jheronimus Academy of Data Science, and apart from educational programs it involves the establishment of a new Graduate School in the former Mariënburg convent, research in the field of data science, and the building of an ecosystem together with a great many companies and organizations in Brabant. The latter was initiated by the parties in question to boost Brabant’s knowledge infrastructure and to further its international positioning as a Data Science region.
Her Majesty Queen Máxima will officially open the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science (JADS), accommodated in the former Mariënburg monastery, on Thursday 1 December in ’s-Hertogenbosch. Queen Máxima will attend the main program in the Maria chapel, take a tour of the building, speak with students and academics, and then perform the official opening ceremony at 17:15 that will take place outside, in front of the Mariënburg.
