Application Process

Are you excited about a job opening at the TU/e? And would you like to apply? At the TU/e, you must follow this process:

1. Application
Want to apply for a vacancy? Click on 'apply now' at the bottom of the job description. You can fill out an online application form and upload supporting documents, such as your letter of motivation and CV.

With your application you also create a personal profile, where you can follow your application(s) at the TU/e. You can also create a 'search agent', who notifies you via emails when new jobs open up that match your ambitions.

If you have applied, you will receive a confirmation that your application has been received.

2. Assessment letters
After the comment period has expired, the vacancy holder and the HR Advisor assess and review the contributions. After this, candidates will be invited for an initial interview as soon as possible. If you're not invited you will be notified as well.

3. Interview
Depending on the vacancy, a series of meetings with one or more selection committees will follow. With a professor or associate professor vacancy, a nomination committee will hold the meeting. For international candidates, sometimes meetings by telephone or video conferencing are done instead of face-to-face meetings.

These meetings will culminate in an interview on working conditions. With a vacancy for a professor or associate professor, the Executive Board decides on the final appointment.
