RESEARCH PROFILE
Tess Homan is an assistant professor at the Power and Flow group in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Her main research interest is fundamental fluid dynamics. Experimental techniques, with an emphasis on data analysis, are used to gather understanding in the fields of fluid-particle flow, bubbly flow, and biological systems.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Tess Homan studied Applied Physics at the university of Twente with a master in Fluid Physics. In 2013 she obtained a PhD on the subject of interstitial air and granular matter under supervision of prof. dr. Devaraj van der Meer and prof. dr. Detlef Lohse. She did a first postdoc at ENS de Lyon on three-phase flows, followed by a second postdoc in Biophysics at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1. In 2018 she became an assistent professor in the Power and Flow group.
