Robotics concentrates on carrying out precise, feedback controlled interventions with minimal trauma for e.g. eye surgery, reconstructive surgery, and – in future – neurosurgery.

Examples of projects
A few examples of projects and research groups in this field of expertise:
- PRECEYES, mimimal invasive robotically assisted surgery for eye surgery
- Home-care robot ROSE
- The Bobbie project, aiming to bootstrap a Dutch industry for personal robots for the elderly care
- Seamlessly integrate smart home technology with socially assistive robots in the KSERA project
- MiXR projects to develop a new generation of X-Ray systems
Most of the projects are done in close collaboration with external partners from industry, government, and health organizations. Please find the specific partners on the project pages.
