We are looking for highly motivated, ambitious, and talented people who want to further accelerate their career while helping their colleagues to further develop; people who can think critically and on various levels of abstraction in terms of systems and products, who can communicate their ideas and thoughts effectively and efficiently to a broad, varied audience, and who aspire to a future career as a design engineer for the (Dutch) high-tech systems industry.

Eligibility

The Post-Master's Program Mechatronic Systems Design is open to recent university graduates, in particular to Master's graduates from one of the following fields:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechatronics
  • Applied Physics
  • Systems & Control or comparable.

The candidate should furthermore have affinity with technology, an academic, critical attitude and a good awareness of the state of the art in engineering design for high tech systems, a clear ambition in an industrial career, better than average social and communicative competencies, including an excellent English proficiency in writing, speaking, reading, and understanding.

We require the proof of an English proficiency test (academic IELTS score or TOEFL IBT, or Cambridge CAE/CPE). For the academic IELTS score the minimum score is 6.5 (CEFR level C1), with no individual scores below 6.0 and scores for speaking/writing of at least 6.5. For TOEFL IBT the minimum is 90 (CEFR level C1), with no individual scores below 21 and scores for speaking/writing of at least 23. Only applicants from the Netherlands, US, UK, Ireland, Australia and New-Zealand are exempted.

Together with this proof of an English proficiency test we require copies of B.Sc. and M.Sc. diplomas and grade transcripts. We also need a copy (of a recent draft version) of your M.Sc. thesis or an abstract of your thesis and off course your motivation letter and CV.
If your master study is still ongoing, and you expect to finish it before the program start, you can also apply. In that case we need proof of an English proficiency test, a provisional summary of your thesis and transcripts of finalized semesters. You should mention the expected final examination date in your CV.
