A PDEng trainee may be an attractive option if you are in need of innovative solutions to your technological problems.
The PPD program offers you the possibility to hire a technological designer with a solid background in chemical engineering, who has the right capabilities and skills to design and develop complex new products and processes and offer innovative solutions to your technological design issues.
Our trainees have a university degree in chemical engineering or chemistry (or related programs) before they enroll in our program. Selection for these programs is tough: typically candidates are from the top 25% graduates of technological universities.
During the first year trainees follow dedicated courses, work on their professional, personal and designing skills and carry out hands-on team projects to become well prepared for the industry. They are guided by highly experienced lecturers who are mostly from industry.
Our post-master level courses program comprises:

  • Process design and product design
  • Simulation, modeling and control
  • Process synthesis
  • Equipment engineering
  • Thermodynamics
  • Polymer reaction engineering
  • Computational fluid dynamics
  • Polymer processing and rheology


Your company can have the benefits of a highly qualified, motivated and unbiased employee in-house for a whole year. Assignments carried out by our PPD trainees last 12 months. First of all, you will receive innovative solutions to your technological design issues. Secondly, you get to know the person well and at the end of the project you are in the perfect position to offer him or her a position within your company. Thirdly, the design projects will not only be supervised by one of our highly experienced scientists, but also by our 2nd year coaches who will provide guidance on project management.
As an industrial partner, you will be asked to pay the university for the costs incurred.
