The new master program Artificial Intelligence & Engineering Systems starts in September 2022. This means there will be no new student intake for the master track AIES starting the academic year 2022-2023. Students who started the master track AIES in the academic year 2021-2022 can still finish the master track AIES. Interested in Artificial Intelligence? Take a look at our new Master!

TU/e has started with on 1 September 2020 with the mastertrack Artificial Intelligence Engineering Systems (AIES). This AIES mastertrack intends to educate an engineer who is both knowledgeable in a specific discipline and in Artificial Intelligence. He or she will be able to address problems in complex engineering systems from both sides, thus bridging a gap which is increasingly relevant to technical developments. The track will focus on application of AI to complex engineering systems, e.g. in the areas of high-tech systems, robotics, health and mobility. It includes courses from various departments such as Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences, Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

The AIES tracks will admit students with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics and Computer Science and Engineering. In the future, the scope may be broader. Please note that you will receive a Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering diploma with the completion of the master track AIES.

You can no longer apply and/or enroll for this AIES master track.
