Upcoming technologies for Clinical Immunology: New medicines, sensing & biomarkers

The program contains lectures on upcoming technologies for clinical immunology, in the fields of therapy, monitoring, and clinical data. The lectures will be followed by a discussion on the translation to the clinic and the impact on patients. The discussion will be moderated by the organizing committee. The course is co-located with the international SensUs competition, with the theme “Managing rheumatic disease by measuring with ease” (see www.sensus.org).

Molecular Biosensing

The MBx group develops technologies based on micro- and nanoparticles for monitoring patients and for treating diseases. Towards this goal, the unique approach of MBx is to use advanced optical imaging techniques that quantify molecular processes with single molecule resolution within complex biomacromolecular environments.
