About us

The name ‘Hoc Habet’ originates from a duel between Messapus, the leader of the city Latium, and the king Aulestes, described in Virgils ancient epic story Aeneid. When Aulestes dies after an intensive fight, Messapus proclaims: “Hoc Habet, haec melior magnis data victima divis.” Which loosely translates to: “He has it, that is a beautiful sacrifice to the gods.” Hoc Habet refers to the final blow, ending the fight.
