P.J. (Pim) de Vink - Expertises
Pim de Vink received his Bachelor degree in Chemistry at the University of Amsterdam in 2014 under the supervision of Professor J.N.H Reek where he worked on supramolecular ligands for rhodium-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation and hydroformylation. He then continued to obtain his Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology in 2016. During his graduation he explored the supramolecular biology of cucurbituril and 14-3-3. He completed his degree with a 4-month internship the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Physiology on gold-catalyzed ligand directed divergent scaffold synthesis in the group of Professor H. Waldmann.
Currently, he is a PhD candidate under supervision of dr. L.-G. Milroy and prof. L. Brunsveld and works on the interface between supramolecular chemistry and chemical biology. In particular his research focuses on control over multi-component proteins complexes using host/guest chemistry and there role in artificial signaling networks.
