Poster award

During the Research Day, a poster contest will be held. Besides honor, two winners can go home with a cash prize.

The posters will be judged by all the participants of the Research Day (audience award)!

Criteria poster award

The poster will be judged on the following criteria:

  • The layout and composition of the poster
  • Communicative function: The poster should be comprehensible for Masters students
  • Challenging research
  • Clear oral explanations during the poster session

Poster Pitch

If you submit a poster we strongly recommend to give a pitch talk as well; 1 slide - 90 seconds. If you do not wish to give a pitch talk, please inform the organizing committee at researchday.bmt@tue.nl

Submitting a poster

If you want to present a poster, you need to register yourself here before 12.00 hrs on March 28th, 2019.

Because of the size of the poster panels, posters must meet the following specifications:

  • Size: A1 or A0
  • Orientation: Portrait

Please note that the posters will not be printed by the organization. Bachelor and master students can ask their supervisor or supervising PhD student to print their posters

You will have to put up your poster yourself on Tuesday April 2nd between 9:00-11:30 hrs. The poster boards are at the Senaatszaal and they are all numbered (you will receive your number a few days before the Research Day). At the Senaatszaal you will find velcro (klittenband) to put up your poster. After the poster sessions at 13.45 hrs you will have to remove your poster yourself.
