This graduation studio sets out of from the theme 'Architecture, Brands & Sustainability',researching the complex relation sustainability and brands have with architecture, starting with acareful definition of these 3 aspects. Throughout, the studio focus lies on how sustainability caninform and influence the architectural character, which is elaborated by spatial research throughphysical modeling and analysis. Initial research of vernacular architecture and brands, leads to avalidation of sustainability versus branding. Ambitions on how to sustainably make architecture aredefined, whereby research by design leads to various conceptual proposals.Resulting from the initial spatial and typological research an additional goal is set, to applysustainability in such as way that it makes the architecture, and thus becomes a brand in itself.Sustainable Architecture as Brand.
