Can you make the world a better place by playing games?

Ben Schouten, a professor at Industrial Design TU/e sometimes referred as ‘the games-professor’, believes we can make the world a better place through games. He studied fine arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie after which he dedicated himself to mathematics, and wrote is thesis about 'How does a computer recognize a cow?' Currently he is passionate about 'playful interaction’ - for teaching, healthcare and more.

He shared his passion for playfulness through an online lecture at the Universiteit van Nederland. The Universiteit van Nederland is an online platform which shares interesting lectures from top professors from the Netherlands. Each week they have a different theme and the lectures are free to watch for everyone.
