Tanja Manders MSc. graduated cum laude in 2014 at the Eindhoven University of Technology on the topic of small-hydropower system builders in the context of the larger water network. This master thesis has been further developed into a journal article. After graduating, Tanja worked at a small consultancy firm on water, energy and infrastructure projects. Currently, she pursues a Ph.D. at the School of Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences in the Technology, Innovation & Society group. Tanja’s research concerns the potential of smart mobility experiments to contribute to structural socio-technical changes of the mobility system. The research is part of a larger research program funded by both TU/e and Rijkswaterstaat/Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment. During her research, Tanja is highly engaged with practitioners in the field, as she values the translation of scientific knowledge to practical use. Her work is furthermore characterized by the use of visualizations for analytical purposes. Additionally, Tanja enjoys teaching and is involved in several teaching and supervising activities.
