Glow Light in Art and Architecture
GLOW is Holland’s Light and art festival, attracting over 500.000 visitors each year. The 2016 edition of GLOW Light in Art and Architecture featured three installations with a strong involvement of researchers from the Human-Technology Interaction group. All three installations were part of the GLOW Science route. INFLUX presented a massive-scale real-time experiment, testing effects of dynamic light scenarios on movement patters of crowds. ART used dynamic light effects to provide people a restorative nature experience in the middle of a crowded, concrete-heavy campus. INTERMEDIA invited visitors to interact with light and each other through fuzzy algorithms translating movements into coloured silhouettes on large screens.
