New group member Ahmad Amiri Rad
Ahmad Amiri Rad has started his work as a postdoc in the Polymer Technology Group from June 15th 2017. He will be working on an anisotropic, time-dependent plasticity model for short-fiber reinforced composites. Implementation of such a model will help the development of a strong design tool which enables prediction of the final product properties from input processing parameters. Ahmad has received his PhD from Isfahan University of Technology in Iran in November of 2016. His past research has been mainly focused on modeling material behavior under fatigue loading. He has worked on crack growth modeling techniques both in metals and laminated composites. Ahmad has experience in development of numerical predictive tools in the framework of fracture and damage mechanics, cohesive zone and plasticity models and extended finite element and level set methods.
