Post-MSc Automotive Systems Design (ASD)
TU/e offers two-year (post-Master's) designer's programs. Like a doctoral candidate, you will have the status of TU/e employee if you are selected for one of these programs. The program starts with a year of advanced education, followed by a major design project of eight to twelve months in a company.
The designer's programs lead to a Professional Doctorate in Engineering (PDEng degree). These programs are given under the banner of 4TU.School for Technological Design, Stan Ackermans Institute, a joint initiative of the four universities of technology in the Netherlands.
Automotive Systems Design (ASD)
The program emphasizes systems design and the PDEng trainees focus on strengthening both their technical and non-technical competencies related to the effective and efficient design and development of technologies and applications for modern high tech automotive systems in the context of smart mobility societal challenges. In particular the program considers the multidisciplinary design aspects of project-based research and engineering in high tech automotive systems, and the challenges that to date are faced by the automotive industry: a systems approach to problems around mobility and fuel efficient automotive systems, including communication systems and electrical driving.
This program is recognized as a PDEng program by the CCTO, the Dutch certification institute for technological designer programs.
