Water conflict in a water-scarce region

In major parts of the world sufficient supply of fresh water is not self-evident and unfortunately the development of innovations to improve this supply has proven to be difficult. Peter Kuin went to Kenya in 2014 and focused on why these shortages and the resulting conflicts over water remain. He collaborated with a local NGO on what it could do to improve the situation. One of the main barriers of success, identified after doing numerous interviews in the field, is stakeholders having different perspectives on what the main problem is and what should be done first. For innovations to become successful, unanimous support is necessary.
