Disasters are often seen as a technical challenge, however, it associates with local culture, climate and technology. 

John Buijs,Manager of the Disaster Response Unit, will explain how ZOA comes up with appropriate approaches in terms of social, regional and technical aspects by giving examples in projects that ZOA did over the last 4 years in Haiti, Pakistan, Philippines and Nepal.
