Ankita Mandal joined as a new Postdoc

January 2, 2024

Ankita joined the Polymer Performance Materials group at the Eindhoven University of Technology as a Postdoc researcher in January, 2024.

Her primary responsibilities involve the synthesis and characterization of various polymeric precursors for high-performance carbon molecular sieve membranes. Additionally, she engages in the synthesis of closed-loop recyclable polymers.

Ankita earned her B.Sc. in Chemistry in 2017 and her M.Sc. in Chemistry with a specialization in Organic Chemistry in 2019 from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. In January 2020, she joined Prof. Dr. Andreas Kilbinger's group as a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, successfully completing her Ph.D. in November 2023. Throughout her doctoral studies, Ankita focused on developing innovative methods for synthesizing metathesis polymers with a reduced amount of metal initiators. Her research primarily revolved around the synthesis of degradable polymers through catalytic living ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP).
