Former CE&C Professor Roeland Nolte passed away

The Netherlands lost an excellent supra-molecular scientist.

Last week Professor Roeland Nolte has passed away aged 79. In the period from 1995 till 2010 Professor Nolte was working as part-time professor at the department of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry specifically within the Macro-Organic Chemistry group of Prof. Bert Meijer.
Roeland Nolte was one of the driving forces behind the successful collaboration between the chemical institutes of Radboud University, University of Groningen and TU/e. Even after that period he was still committed to support chemistry in Eindhoven. Professor Meijer: “We lose an excellent scientist, a fantastic mentor and a true friend.”
