Guest PhD: Yufei Xioung

Yufei Xioung is a joint training PhD student from Wuhan University in China who has joined our group from June 2023 to June 2025.
Yufei will be engaged in research projects related to closed-loop recycling of high-performance polyimide aerogels.
The focus of her research will be on the design and development of new types of polyimide aerogels that are amenable to recycling by introducing smart monomers containing functional groups such as imine groups which can be polymerized and depolymerized under energy efficient conditions
