Karel van Donselaar wins Best Teacher Awards
On January 26 he was awarded with two (!) awards
Student association Industria awarded Karel van Donselaar with both the Industria Education Award 2022-2023 for Best Teacher Post-Propedeutic in the bachelor Industrial Engineering, and the Industria Education Award 2022-2023 for Best Teacher in the Master Operations Management and Logistics.
“I am honoured to have won these awards”, says Karel. “I am delighted to share my passion with young students and to make them aware of the added value of mathematical models in decision making. My colleagues and I show the students that these models both increase the performance of companies and also help to improve our society. For example by reducing food waste in supermarkets based on the models and methods we developed in our research and during student internships”
