50th PhD defence for Professor Hans Kuipers

Hans Kuipers received a certificate and the artwork ‘Mens Agitat Molem', which is awarded to individuals who have served Eindhoven University of Technology with distinction, on reaching his 50th PhD defence. Evgeny Rebrov who chaired the defence committee presented the artwork to Hans on behalf of the Executive Board. Hans has been with TU/e for 13,5 years and is looking forward to yet another 4 PhD defences this year.
PhD candidate Merve Durubal defended her thesis ‘Exploring variable viscosity effects in droplet collision dynamics in complex fluid systems: Temperature and stress dependencies through simulations and experiments’ successfully on that day.
