  • Application

Found a great job opportunity? Click the apply button, complete the online application form and upload the necessary documents. Please keep in mind that you can upload only five documents up to two MB each. You will get a confirmation once your application is in.

  • Initial screening

Your application will be reviewed. If we see a potential good fit, then you will be invited for a first interview. Interviews with international applicants can take place by phone or online.

  • Interviews

Depending on the position, several interviews may follow with one or more selection committees. For the academic positions of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, we will appoint a Recruitment Advisory Committee. You will be requested to give a presentation to the Committee.

  • Assessment

To make sure that you are the right person for the job, we may use an external party to conduct an additional assessment. If we want you to participate, you will receive more information about this.

  • Reference check

Potentially, we carry out reference checks to get a clear picture of your prior professional performance. You choose which references to supply. No one will be contacted without your consent.

  • Feedback

After the interview(s), we will keep you informed of the outcome. Did you have an interview but were not selected for the position? If so, you will be informed personally, with a clear explanation of why you were not selected. For Associate and Full Professors, the Executive Board will make the final decision about the appointment.

  • Offer

If you are selected for the position, we will make you an offer and discuss our employment conditions. In that case, our HR team will contact you about signing your contract and getting started.

  • Questions?

If you have questions about the hiring process, please contact the HR Advisor listed with the job posting.

  • Welcome

We are delighted to have you on board. We'll do everything we can to get you started on your new adventure well prepared. If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to contact your new supervisor, manager or HR advisor.

Getting to campus for your job interview

Within walking distance of the central train and bus station, you'll find our green campus with beautiful architecture, varied workplaces, and loads of facilities to host our vibrant campus community. It is important to know which building you need to be in, so you can follow the directions signs on campus.

If you come by car, you can grab a ticket at the barrier to open it. TU/e uses paid parking to reduce car use. When you arrive on campus, please turn off your navigation system. Signs give directions to the buildings and the nearest parking lots. When leaving, you can pay at one of the ticket machines near the exits. After that, you can use the same ticket to get out again.

Of course, visitors on bicycles will also find options for parking their bikes at each building.
