Introduction for international students

Welcome Day Internationals

For international students, there are onboarding introduction days. Participation is not mandatory, but we strongly recommend that you sign up for them.

The Welcome Days are intended for all international bachelor's and master's students and focus on acquainting you with the Netherlands, Eindhoven, and the university. We begin the first day with a check-in, followed by presentations providing essential information from the International Office. Our international student community will introduce themselves and share helpful tips. Following this, we will organize an information fair where you can learn about Dutch banks, insurance, bike rentals, and more. You can also collect your campus card, register at the sports center, and inquire about your residence permit. Additionally, our international student community will host a 'crash course to the Netherlands' to familiarize you with Dutch customs and traditions. The morning will conclude with a group lunch, providing you with the opportunity to get to know each other better.

During 'Meet Eindhoven', we aim to create a relaxed atmosphere. While we do not organize activities ourselves, we provide opportunities (such as locations and times) for you to meet each other. This event will also take place on the final day of the introduction week on Friday, August 23rd.

On Sunday, August 18th, we offer another opportunity to meet each other. Our international community will be present and organize fun activities to help you get to know each other better.

During lunch breaks throughout the introduction program, students and staff from the International Office will be available to answer all your questions. You can identify them by the flag they carry.

Registration fees for the Welcome Days are 15 euros.
