RESEARCH PROFILE
Keita Saito is a Ph.D. researcher in the Polymer Performance Materials group at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Keita’s research focuses on the development of sustainable polymers and closed-loop recycling strategies.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Keita Saito obtained his BSc with the best thesis and presentation award at Yamagata University in Japan in 2018. From the same year, Keita continued his MSc in the Department of Organic Materials Science at Yamagata University. During his master, he worked on the synthesis of antimicrobial aliphatic polycarbonates under the supervision of Dr. Kazuki Fukushima and the development of carbon fiber reinforced plastics by polyrotaxane under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tatsuhiro Takahashi. He also had an internship for 10 months at POLYMAT in Spain, where he worked on the upcycling of commodity polymers. In 2020, he obtained master degree. In 2021, he started his Ph.D. in the Polymer Performance Materials group under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Željko Tomović and Dr. Fabian Eisenreich.
