From mathematical models to clinical application.

Computational and experimental biomechanical analysis of the cardiovascular system

The Cardiovascular Biomechanics group performs research in the field of computational and experimental biomechanical analysis of the cardiovascular system. Aim is to develop computational models, experimental techniques, and medical devices for clinical diagnosis, decision support, and intervention.

  • Laboratories

The research group Cardiovascular Biomechanics has two laboratories:

    New project: Artificial Womb

Researchers of TU/e and partners aim to develop an artificial womb, which is an adequate substitute for the protective environment of the maternal womb in case of premature birth, preventing health complications.

    Student opportunities

The Cardiovascular Biomechanics group provides courses and projects in the bachelor's and master's program.
Furthermore, there are always sufficient projects for students to work on in the research group.
