RESEARCH PROFILE
Steffi obtained her BSc and MSc in Meteorology from the University of Hamburg and there gathered first experiences in Wind Engineering as a Research Associate at the Environmental Wind Tunnel Laboratory of the Meteorological Institute. In 2018, she obtained her PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Birmingham. Afterwards, Steffi joint Eindhoven University of Technology as senior researcher and the Operational Manager of the Atmospheric Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel. In 2024 she was promoted to Assistant Professor in the Urban Physics working group. To date, she has worked on a variety of wind induced challenges, such as, flow over complex terrain, the physical simulation of tornadoes, pollutant dispersion scenarios, aerodynamics of crops and trees, as well as vehicle and cycling aerodynamics.
