Eftekhar, Fatemeh

“I'm currently working on the Building Integrated Thermal Exchanger (BIT) project, which focuses on designing an efficient thermal exchanger that can be installed on various surfaces like facades, roofs, and terraces.
My journey towards this project began with my undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Architectural Engineering, where I conducted research on passive and active building systems. This experience sparked my interest in sustainability, leading me to pursue a master's degree in Energy Systems at Korea University. During my time there, I conducted research on a buoyancy-driven airflow window, using tools like Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations, programming, and Energy Plus to optimize its thermal and airflow performance.
I chose to join the SBC program as an EngD trainee to gain hands-on industry experience. This program offers fantastic opportunities for both personal and professional development, expanding engineers' knowledge and perspectives.“
