Mina Ishac

My name is Mina and I am from Egypt. I’m an architect and I have solid background and practical experience in architecture and daylighting. I studied architecture in Ain Shams University, after which I completed my masters in architectural engineering at the German University in Cairo in the simulation and optimization of daylighting and shading.

I have academic and practical experience, where I taught in 4 architectural schools in Cairo and Berlin, during most of which I taught at the German University in Cairo. I was a teaching instructor and researcher in the building technology department. I worked on 2 research projects with Hochschule für Technik HFT Stuttgart and I have 8 years of working experience in architectural offices based in Cairo. I am very happy to work in the engineering doctorate position in the building performance group in BPS unit at TU/e, where I am working to design solutions for real-life time problems, and for which I am designing a model and tool for a state-of-the-art insulated glazing system that optimizes daylighting, thermal comfort, and energy.
