Active Bystander Training (6-10-2020 or 8-10-2020)

Date
Tuesday October 6, 2020 from 9:30 AM to Thursday October 8, 2020 2:30 PM
Location
Online

At the request of the WISE-Network The Active Bystander Training Company offers this training live remotely.

During our well-attended event last January - #MeToo at Academia: The Learning Curve -  we learned how bullying, intimidation, sexual harassment and other inappropriate behaviour all contribute to a toxic culture in the workplace; and that the impact this has on people can be hugely detrimental – with stress, anxiety and mental health problems.

Do you want to be able to start to do something about this?

Do you want to become more aware of the impact of certain types of behaviour?

Do you want to increase your defensibility?

Do you want to know how to react as a bystander?

If so, then you are warmly invited to attend a 1 hour Active Bystander training session on Tuesday 6th October or Thursday 8th October that will empower each one of us as university staff across our community. We will learn how to challenge the kind of unacceptable behaviour that has become normalised and how to bring about change by reinforcing messages where we define the boundaries of unacceptable behaviour.

We hope that by learning and working together we can create a safe and supportive working environment within our community and urge each one of you to step up and attend this training.
