E-Grids

Electrical grids (E-grids) are interconnected networks for delivering electricity from producers to consumers. E-grids will form the integrating actor enabling the word-wide transition to renewable energy resources. Having to match dynamically the demands and supplies of a heterogeneous mix of electricity sources, these grids are turning into cyber-physical systems. CPSe focusses on the design of the required power conversion and amplification technologies, on control strategies to dynamically match demand and supply, and on digital twin technology to support health monitoring, validation of control strategies and capacity planning.
