Industry 4.0 will be small scale, distributed and circular. Truly changing the paradigm of chemical industry requires a unique combination of expertise, ranging from reaction engineering to separations, from photo-catalysis to electrochemical engineering and automation. Experts should truly work together towards a common goal, bringing the circular economy in the process industry to a reality.
