RESEARCH PROFILE

Jemima Tabeart is an Assistant Professor  in the Centre for Analysis, Scientific Computing and Applications (CASA) at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Eindhoven University of Technology. Her research interests lies at the intersection of numerical linear algebra and data assimilation for applications. This work spans the very applied (working with industrial partners at the Met Office and Cerfacs) to the more theoretical (designing preconditioners for saddle point systems arising from applications).

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Jemima M. Tabeart completed her MMath with Study Year abroad at the University of Bath in 2015, followed my an MRes in Mathematics of Planet Earth from Imperial College in 2016. She undertook her PhD as part of the Mathematics for Planet Earth Centre for Doctoral Training at the University of Reading under the supervision of  Prof Nancy Nichols, Prof Sarah Dance, Prof Amos Lawless and Dr Joanne Waller. Following my PhD Jemima was a semester postdoctoral fellow at ICERM (Brown University), a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Edinburgh for 3 years, and most recently a Hooke Fellow at the University of Oxford. Jemima joined TU/e in October 2023 as an Assistant Professor.
