ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Rahman Sabahi Kaviani obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Iran, and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA, respectively, with a focus on the field of Control and Dynamics. Following his graduation, he joined the R&D center of General Motors in Warren, MI, USA. He then transitioned to the BioMEMS laboratory at the University of Michigan as a research assistant, where he worked on designing and fabricating MEMS and microfluidic devices. Rahman’s passion for innovative solutions in biomedical applications led him to join the Microsystems section at Eindhoven University of Technology, where he embarked on his PhD project within the European Union’s Horizon 2020 CONNECT project, focusing on the Development of Nervous System-on-Chip Technology.
