Geophysical fluid dynamics really interests me – what goes on in the atmosphere and oceans. It’s one of the reasons why I chose this specialization. You can really see these processes happening, and it’s fun to work on something important and concrete. I especially liked the course Environmental Fluid Mechanics which was about the flow in the air, rivers and lakes.

Eindhoven is a great city for student life and the TU/e has a good and personal atmosphere. You do need a lot of motivation for this program – it’s not easy! But you get a lot of freedom. In the future, I’d like to do a PhD if I can find a project related to climate physics. Industry doesn’t appeal as much at the moment, but I am planning to do an industry internship anyway, to see what it’s like."
