Aysegul was born in Turkey in 1991. She started her bachelours studies in Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, then completed her Master’s degree at Bilkent University in neuroscience department.
In 2017, she came to the Netherlands to work with Jan de Boer to engineer a biomaterial that can be used in tendon tissue regeneration.
