(WISE) Workshop: 'Handle the challenges of working as a scientist with increased confidence and less stress - Positive Intelligence (PQ) workshop for WISE members' (by Karen Buchanan)

Dear member,

More than ever it's essential to look after our mental fitness through building positive intelligence. Mental fitness is our capacity to respond to the challenges of life and work with a positive rather than a negative mindset, and our ability to shift quickly and deeply from the one to the other.

In this afternoon workshop you will be introduced to how to:
perform better academically while working less hard – similar to athletes 'in the zone'; feel less stressed, more peace and happiness - even in challenging times; tackle your workload with calm, laser-focused action; and confidently improve relationships, and handle conflicts in ways that deepen trust and harmony; and create an empowering mindset to build a fulfilling, balanced life as a woman in science.

Before the workshop you will be able to complete a short self- Saboteur Assessment and receive a personal report.

About Karen Buchanan:
Coming from a scientific and leadership career I also became a professional coach, driven by a genuine desire to support other women in science and engineering to thrive both professionally and personally, by empowering themselves to take care of their well-being, overcome negative self-talk, lower stress, and regain energy. 'Positive Intelligence' is an innovative method that I am certified to guide clients through, both in workshops and in the 8 week online training programme open to members of WISE after this workshop.
