Location
TU/e innovation Space / Matrix 1.333

After a hard working semester, the final presentations of Innovation Space Project (ISP) innovation through Art & Design will be held on Friday, June 16th.The students of the master's program present the projects they worked on:

  • Dommel - future urban nature is a project based on a challenge from the Municipality of Eindhoven. Focusing on a piece of nature near the campus, the students set to work on a global problem; how do we give nature more space in urban areas? This project will have an exhibition during Dutch Design Week 2023.
  • In another project together with Fillip Studios, students started working with all the knowledge around auxetic structures from the working group of (TU/e Dean) Cornelis Storm. What fantastic designs can be conceived with these exceptional properties?
  • And the third project is in collaboration with global entertainment company USE whose flying objects with light have already joined the band MUSE on a world tour. The students have developed a performance with flying molecules; entertainment and education in one.

The students will present their projects in an engaged way for a wide audience, so everyone is welcome! Please register via the button above. From 4:30 p.m. there will be drinks and an opportunity to network within the Art & Tech community.

This event is part of the TU/e innovation Space CBL demo weeks, take a look at the the full program.

About ISP innovation through art & design

The TU/e innovation Space master program ISP: innovation through art & design focuses on Challenge-Based Learning with an extra focus on art and technology. Students from various study programs (including other educational institutions) work in interdisciplinary teams on open-ended challenges. The students work together with designers, artists, scientists and other (external) professionals, resulting in concepts, prototypes and/or products.

The goal of the course is to provide additional training for engineers of the future in conceptual and abstract thinking for tomorrow's challenges. The end results are therefore artistic designs, which can form the basis for innovative solutions and technologies. Read more about the flagship courses of TU/e innovation Space.
