In vitro tissue models

Advanced in vitro tissue models enhance our ability to investigate human tissues in various states, encompassing both health and disease, such as cancer, degenerative disorders, and inflammatory conditions. These models also facilitate the assessment of novel drug candidates tailored to specific diseases. Our research involves the development of biomimetic hydrogels and 3D scaffolds. These materials replicate essential features of the native extracellular matrix, enabling precise control over the behavior of cells and cell organoids. Additionally, they offer a versatile platform for high-throughput, cost-effective screening of new drug candidates. Our work has a specific focus on the investigation of muscular dystrophies and chronic blood cancers.
