RESEARCH PROFILE

Chaobo Zhang is a postdoctoral researcher in the unit Building Physics and Services of the Department of the Built Environment at the Eindhoven University of Technology. His research focuses on fast building performance simulation and smart building energy management. He is interested in making buildings smarter and more energy-efficient by introducing artificial intelligence technologies.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Chaobo Zhang obtained his Bachelor degree in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning from the Harbin Institute of Technology in 2017. Then, he got his PhD degree in Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering from the Zhejiang University in 2022. After that, he was employed as a postdoctoral researcher in the Building Performance Group of the Department of the Built Environment at the Eindhoven University of Technology. One of his journal paper A review of data mining technologies in building energy systems: Load prediction, pattern identification, fault detection and diagnosis received the 2020 Best Paper Award of the journal Energy and Built Environment.
