RESEARCH PROFILE
Gökhan Yılmaz is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) researcher in the ANTERRA project funded by the European Union (EU). He is part of the Information and Communication Theory (ICT) Lab in the Signal Processing Systems (SPS) Group. His current research aims to develop suitable beam-prediction algorithms for fast-moving low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites and to investigate the information-theoretic limits of applications of satellite communications in 6G Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN). Yılmaz’s research interests include communication theory, information theory, and wireless communications.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
He obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical and electronics engineering at Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, Turkey. His M.S. studies were supported by Vodafone Turkey within the framework of the 5G and Beyond Joint Graduate Program coordinated by the Information and Communication Technologies Authority of Turkey.
