Access from anywhere

TU/e staff and students who wish to use information retrieval systems and read full-text journals at offices outside TU/e, may do so via the Library Proxy Server.

Sign in via the Proxy server

Please copy and paste this URL into a new browser window https://dianus.libr.tue.nl/login?url=http://www.tue.nl.dianus.libr.tue.nl/en/our-university/library. You will then return to the Library website and be able to access retrieval systems and full-text journals as you are accustomed. Via the Proxy Server, the IP address at the external database is recognized as belonging to the TU/e network.

Only the occurrence of 'dianus.libr.tue.nl' in your browser's address bar indicates that access is taking place via the Proxy Server.

Why use the proxy server in stead of a VPN connection?

With the VPN connection you also have the ability to access the Library documents. However, making a VPN connection requires specific settings which aren't always available when working outside of the TU/e Campus. Students and apprentices who work outside of the TU/e often can't use VPN due to network/IT policy restrictions that apply on their work location. Also see: VPN settings.
