I was intrigued by the environmental aspects of my bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Innovation, and wanted to pursue a deeper dive into innovation in my master’s degree. One project was with Philips' SPS department. We aimed to create a tool to evaluate the impact of sustainable transportation methods on both CO2 emissions and costs. Though the Excel modeling technique we used wasn’t intrinsically revolutionary, it was really enjoyable to provide a model with real-world application and that will be increasingly valuable for the department. This model could help Philips reach their goal of a 90% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2040, while maintaining financial feasibility.

What I appreciate about TU/e is that it's not purely technical. The university cultivates a well-rounded view by considering social, economic, and environmental aspects. As for Eindhoven, I enjoy the cultural variety and lively nightlife the city offers. My future career path is open, but I'd like to operate between purely technical professionals and non-technical ones. Thanks to the holistic courses at TU/e, I feel prepared to bring these worlds together in a complimentary way.
