LET'S CELEBRATE SCIENCE!

The TU/e Research Day on June 13, is a festive event that celebrates science, to be held at the Auditorium. The theme of this year is “Shaping the Future”.

The TU/e Research Day starts with an inspiring interactive keynote titled "Shaping the Future with AI." This captivating hour is dedicated to showcasing the groundbreaking AI research happening right here at our university and celebrating EAISI’s fifth anniversary. In the morning, EAISI celebrates this with the EAISI AI jubilee symposium. Find more information and sign up for this symposium now.

In the afternoon, you can immerse yourself in the wonders of our Research Expo in the Auditorium. Our esteemed research institutes will unveil their latest discoveries and innovations.

The final part of the event is the academic ceremony, where Prof. dr. Karen Scrivener (EPFL) and Dr. h.c. Martin van den Brink (fASML), our two honorary doctorates, will give a short presentation followed by the decoration ceremony.
We will close the ceremony with the TU/e Awards. Who is our best young researcher, ground-breaking researcher, and who wins the leadership in excellence award? Who has written the best PhD and EngD thesis? The winner of Talking Science will join us with its pitch on stage. Come and show your support for your colleagues!

TU/e honorary doctorates for building materials and mechatronics

Each year, TU/e honors one or more people from outside the university for their significant contributions to a field of study. This year, they are Martin van den Brink and Karen Scrivener. As a professor and the head of the Laboratory of Construction Materials at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Scrivener has done much pioneering research on the building materials cement and concrete. Van den Brink, President and Chief Technology Officer of ASML, is being honored for his enormous contribution to increasing knowledge about the (im)possible in the field of mechatronics, which combines mechanical and electrical engineering. The honorary doctorates will be officially awarded at the TU/e Research Day.
