During my bachelor's in Psychology & Technology, I discovered the importance of gaining insight into the social impact of new technologies and understanding the influence these technologies have on individuals. This led me to explore human behavior and kindled my interest in intelligent lighting and environmental psychology. The master's program in Human Technology Interaction at TU/e offered advanced courses that aligned with my interests, bridging the gap between human behavior and technology's role in shaping our future.

One project I truly enjoyed was my master's thesis, which focused on identifying movements of nature in dappled light stimuli and their effects on stress recovery. This research could contribute to smarter indoor lighting technologies designed for stress recovery and enhanced occupant well-being. Despite its challenges, it was an enriching experience.

What I enjoy most about TU/e is the many opportunities for personal development beyond academics. From working at the Intelligent Lighting Institute to being part of Student Team Blue Jay, these experiences allowed me to connect with like-minded individuals, enriching my student life. In terms of my future career, I want to contribute to creating environments that enhance mental and physical well-being while promoting sustainability. My TU/e degree gave me the skills to innovate and research in these fields. I hope to start a Ph.D. soon, concentrating on enhancing patients' mental health through lighting in hospitals, including ICUs or recovery wards.
