I want to do something about the world's energy problems. What are possible the new technologies to make our current systems more efficient? I want to explore all that. I am also interested in AI and programming. With this study choice, I want to use AI to make the world more efficient and better for future generations.

For my internship at Carbyon, I studied how best to optimise the pressure drop through a material that captures CO₂. The technology of CO2 capturing is still in its infancy but, even in addition to reducing CO2 emissions, it is essential to slow down global warming.

For my graduation internship, I chose TouchWind. With computational intelligence you calculate the optimal rotor angle to control the vortex structure in the dirty air flow behind turbines and thus make future wind farms more efficient. The dirty air flow may even lead to a positive effect, a holy grail!

I liked the fact that TU/e left you free to make a lot of choices for your subjects and that in addition to the technical subjects, attention is also paid to social issues, ethics, and personal development and softskill development. I am very much searching for what I want to do after my graduation. I want to pursue my dream, but I don't want to do this by following the standard path. Ideally, I want to prefer to combine my passion for technology with my creativity to grow an innovative, sustainable startup, and thus contribute to improving the world!
